Interview With Jessica Lorraine

We would like to say that FCR sat down with upcoming music star, Jessica Lorraine, but we can;t because we didn't. For all those that are new to this gig here called my blog, everything we do is on the internet. Unless there's something really big for us to act on, we like to go tech savvy on you.
But I did manage to get an interview with her anyway.
My Opinion: This girl is a fabulous singer. During the interview, I managed to find out she's never had a vocal class a day in her life! You should hear her sing. If you would like to hear and see her, visit Youtube.com. I believe she will be famous in no time and when she does become a star, I will be the first one to tel you : I told you so! With a bright smile, and brilliant attitude, Jessica Lorraine is the perfect singer. She has one of the most beautiful personalities and voices in the world. My favorite work of art from Jessica Lorraine is when she did a retake of Trey Song's "Last Time". It was amazing! You Go Girl!

*What nationality are you?
---I am Puerto Rican and Black...[my grandma says I'm some kind of Indian but I can never remember lol]

*On who's side of the family do you think you got your talents from?
---I would say maybe my dad, no one in my family sings actually but from what I hear my dad played a couple instruments [he passed away]

*Have you ever taken vocal lessons?
---No I haven't But I want to so bad, so soon I will


*Who or what inspired you to sing?
---I was born to sing!! Whitney Houston and Beyonce inspire me but I decided to sing all on my own

*When did you first discover your singing abilities?
---I discovered at 3, I know you're thinking who can really sing at three but most people in the industry say 3! I personally think 3 must be the age people start showing interest or passion in something

*What is your goal in this industry? Where do you see your career going in the next few years?
---My goal in the industry is to stay myself show who I am, dont follow a formula but discover one. I love music not just singing and I relate to our youth I'm not trying to REPRESENT the young people,I am one of them we all commonly struggle for what we want in life, rich or poor you work to have the things you want and need.
Music happens to be my want and need!

*How do you describe your style of singing?
---Wow My style of singing is John Legend, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, and alot of others mixed into a ball of ME! i call it R&HP lol Rhythm & Hip-Pop I love music like I said so I mix alot together lol

*Can you rap?
---Yepp I can but, Noo I don't, if a song called for it I would try it sure but I wouldnt consider it something I'd focus on lol

*What is your current project?
---I am currently working on my press-Package, be expecting some new photos and songs on myspace pretty soon =]

*If you could pick any artist/rapper/singer to perform with, who would it be?
---Wow this is a hard one, probably Beyonce, I could learn alot!!

*If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Why?
---I wish I would have started taking lessons when I was a child like 4 like alot of others but I am currently trying to learn to play the guitar!

*Do you have any siblings?
---I have 2 sisters, Angelique Marie [myspace. com/angie_celler] and the youngest is 11 her name is Jasmine

*Do they sing?
---No not that I know of, They have their own talents they want to pursue but I dont doubt it actually!

*What is your hidden talent?
---Ok its kind of weird, But I can crack/pop my ears, you have to be up on me but you can hear and see me do it, it tends to freak people out lol

*What's your favorite t.v show/ movie?
---Right now its Wall-E and probably Baldwin Hills and Making the Band

*What inspires your songs?
---Everything, Other people and also My situations or stories I hear I try to speak to apart of everyone in my songs!

*How long does it usually take to write and produce (finish) a song?
---To Write I would say at the most maybe 30min to an hour to finish the whole thing recording at the least 3 hours without mixing

*Is your album coming out? If so, when?
---Not Yet, I still have some development to do and Talk to the labels..When I get a deal I will definitely update you! =]

*Do any famous artists make appearances on your album?
---No I'm trying to just have me on their so I can really be heard but I have some great producers!!

*What are some of your favorite stores to shop at?
---I Love Hollister, Wal-Mart lol, Aj Wright, Its really not about where I shop but how the clothes are put together if its cute when I put it together I will Rock it!!

*If you were stranded on an island, and you could bring company and any object, what would they be?
---My Best Friends And an Ipod That has all the Music ever Created on it!!!! lol
